“WASHINGTON (7News) — Mothers and other D.C.-area community members spent Mother's Day rallying for an end to family separation on the National Mall.

It was the fourth time organizers held the "Black Mother's March on the White House," a rally and protest organizers said was to help expose injustices faced in African American communities. The group said they also want to put an end to services that use lifestyle and cultural choices as the basis for removing children from their homes.

The organizers said they would like resources to be used for community oversight and operations to help families with the loss of wages and legal expenses.”
