Mandated Reporters Against Mandated Reporting: Title IX, Mandated Reporting, and Survivor Autonomy

This event is hosted by Mandated Reporters Against Mandated Reporting.

Many of us work alongside young people and families in roles where we are mandated to report to systems of family policing. at the same time, many of us are also part of university communities as students, faculty, or staff, where we navigate another set of mandatory reporting policies under Title IX. Some of us have also personally experienced the impacts of Title IX mandatory reporting.

Join us for our monthly Mandated Reporters Against Mandated Reporting (MRaMR) meeting and processing space where we'll be joined by guest speaker Maeve Allen, whose research examines how mandatory reporting policies are understood, implemented, and experienced within institutions of higher education.

Together, we'll explore the connections between Title IX, mandatory reporting, and family policing while building community among students, researchers, educators, advocates, survivors, and others invested in creating systems of care that center the autonomy, needs, and desires of people impacted by violence.

Thursday, November 5
4–5:30 PM PT | 6–7:30 PM CT | 7–8:30 PM ET

All are welcome, whether you're navigating these policies professionally, personally, or both.
