Zines are, and have been, a historical and integral way that individuals and communities have expressed their thoughts, motivations, and feelings about things that directly impact them.

Regardless of time and place, zine utilize artistic expression to not only get a message across but to also connect with its audience, to find a way to bring us all together, to recognize ourselves in each other. 

For this Zine Worshop, we will be focusing on young Southern voting power amidst a chaotic year of numerous attacks on voting rights, specifically in our Southern states. 

When: Thursday, October 8, 6:30 - 8:00 pm

Where: Virtual on Zoom. The link will be provided to those who sign up.

Who: Anyone and everyone! Zine making is not just for people who are artsy or crafty. It's for anyone who as something to say!  

Why: For centuries, art has influenced culture, societies, and our way of understanding each other and the world. Now it's your turn!

Join us to learn about how zines have been used for art advocacy, hear about our The Future Echoes zine project, and spend some time exploring your own ideas for a zine page. You'll leave with inspiration you can use whenever you're ready to start advocating using art.
